If you have enabled Google Photos "Auto Backup" on your iOS device and your photos and videos are not automatically being backed up, then follow the steps given below.
- Open "Google Photos" app on your iOS device.
- Tap "Menu" icon located at the top left on the screen.
- Select "Assistant" option.
- If you are getting "Waiting for connection" or "Waiting for Wi-Fi", then you need to either change your setting or connect to a Wi-Fi or mobile network. Tap the card to change your settings.
- If you are getting "Back up & sync Off", then tap "Turn ON" on the card. If you turn it ON, your photos and videos including ones you capture in the future will be backed up to Google Photos.
- "A photo or video was skipped": You will get this message if a photo or video on your mobile device does not meet Google Photos requirements. Your photos can not exceed 75MB or 100 megapixels. Videos can not exceed 10GB.
- If you are getting "Backing up photos" or "Backup complete", this means your photos and videos should be saved.
