How to Use Dropbox's Carousel for Photo Management?

Last Updated :

Carousel by Dropbox is the best app for photo organization and management. You need to download and install Dropbox Carousel app on your iOS device. If you are a Dropbox Pro account user, then it gives you 1 TB storage space. Dropbox Carousel has a feature "Automatic Backup" which allows you to backup photos and videos from your gallery to your account automatically. You can enable or disable this feature from the Carousel's app settings. To do so, open "Carousel by Dropbox" app on your iOS device and tap "Menu" located at the top left corner on the screen. Tap "Settings" tab and move the slider from left to right to turn ON "Back up photos" and "Back up videos" options. By choosing these options, when you take a photo or video on your iOS device, Carousel backs it up to a Dropbox folder called "Camera Uploads". It also allows you to create an album with photos from your mobile phone and share a link to the album with your family and friends, even if they don't have Carousel app. You can also share your photos and videos to Facebook or Twitter account. This way you can use Dropbox's Carousel app for photo management.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
