iCloud iPhoto Library is a service provided by Apple and currently in beta. If you want to upload Mac's iPhoto photos to iCloud Photo Library, then make sure you have the iCloud Photo Library beta enabled on your iOS device. To enable iCloud Photo Library on your iOS device, open 'Settings' on your iOS device and tap 'iCloud' and then tap 'Photos' option. Move the slider from left to right to turn ON 'iCloud Photo Library (Beta)'. iCloud (beta) uploader only supports the uploading of .JPG photo files. You can not upload .PNG or .MOV files through the web.

  1. Make sure you have the 'iCloud Photo Library beta' enabled on your iOS devices.
  2. Go to https://beta.icloud.com/ & sign in to your account. If you don't have an account, then create one.
  3. Click "Photos" icon.
  4. Click "Upload" button located in the upper right corner of the window.
  5. Select the JPG photos from your hard drive which you would like to upload.
  6. Click "Choose" button.
  7. A processing bar appears at the bottom. You will see the progress of your upload.
  8. If you want to stop the upload, then you can click "Stop Upload" button located at the botom right corner.
