There are many reasons to delete an iCloud account from your Mac or iOS device. If the email address associalted with the Apple ID that you are using for iCloud is no longer valid, then you will need to change the email address and delete an iCloud account from your device.
To delete an iCloud account from Mac, go to "System Preferences" and select "iCloud" and then click "Sign out" button. If you want to delete an iCloud account from your iOS device, go to "Settings" and then tap "iCloud". You will see big red "Delete Account" button, tap on it to delete your iCloud account. Once you click on "Sign out" button on your Mac or "Delete Account" button on your iOS device, you will get a alert message i.e "If you delete your account, all photo Stream photos and documents stored in iCloud will be deleted from this device". Here Photo Stream is a feature that uses iCloud to push any photos you take to all of your devices. With My Photo Stream, you can access the recent photos that you take with your iOS device on your Mac or Windows PC. Photos in My Photo Stream are saved on the iCloud server for 30 days. When you get an alert message, then you should check out whether or not you have My Photo Stream ON. If the Photo Stream is OFF then you can ignore the alert message. If you have My Photo Stream ON, then you will have to check to see if the Photo Stream photos are actually saved in your Camera Roll.
