You can process your RAW files by different apps. If you import RAW files which were already processed by another app like Aperture, then the RAW processing of the photos might be out of date. If you like processed RAW photo, then you can leave it as it is. If you don't like then you can choose to reprocess the RAW photo file. You can reprocess it with the most recent version of Apple's RAW processing software. After reprocessing your photo may look different and you cannot undo this change.
To reprocess RAW files, double-click a photo to open it and click "Edit" button located in the toolbar. Choose "Image" and select "Reprocess RAW" option.
