How to permanently delete pictures from Google Photos?

You can easily delete your photos and videos to clear up some space or get rid of photos and videos which you don't want using the Google Photos app. When you delete your photos, they will stay in your Trash for 60 days and then they will permanently delete. If you want to delete them permanently before 60 days, then follow the steps given below.
  1. Download the app from the Play Store if you don’t already have it and then launch it. 
  2. The app give you a grid of pictures and videos on your device, by default.
  3. Browse through your photos and videos and mark if there is anything that you want to get rid off. To mark a photo or video, just long press the first one and then just tap each one thereafter.
  4. The marked photos will be highlighted. Now you can tap the trash can icon to delete marked photos/videos. Note, that these selected photos and videos are yet completely removed from your device.
  5. To see what's in there in your Trash, swipe from the left side to expose the slideout menu. Choose Trash.
  6. Here you will see everything that you have deleted from Google Photos in the last 60 days. 
  7. Scan once and see if you you need to restore any photo. If not, simply empty the trash can and your Google Photos will be deleted permanently.
