Challenges to improve your photography

Challenge # 1 : Project 365

Challenge yourself to take photos everyday. Don't just limit taking one picture a day, instead, click several of them and select the one which you think is the best of the rest. Or if you are confident enough, you may opt to click one photo a day. No matter what you do, how busy you are, where your, who you’re with, you have to click one shot a day. It is fun and exciting. Some fun ideas for a themed weekly photo challenges are; cars, bikes, coffee / cuppa, etc.

Challenge # 3 : 52 Week Challenge

Challenge yourself you take one quality photo per week. Click just anything, anywhere, anytime. But don't forget to be creative. 2 is better than 1. Team-up with a friend who is also interested in photography and work together. Brainstorm ideas and tricks to enhance your pictures. A healthy competitions can help you both become better photographers.

Challenge # 4 : Weekend Fun / Photo Friday

If you do not have time to take pictures in weekdays, make sure you do a weekend project like 'Weekend fun' of 'Photo Friday' or 'Photo Saturday' or 'Photo Sunday' etc. It can be a lot of fun and there's a huge scope to show your creative side. You can capture the nightlife, weekend parties, get-together etc. Or just your weekend activity. It just needs a little thinking and a lot of practice.

Challenge # 5 : Be a part of 'Monthly Photo Challenges'

There are many photo challenges that keep coming up every now and then. Find out photography communities, websites, magazines, journals, forums that run photo contests more often. Participate in as many challenges as you can. It is Fun and exciting. Plus it helps you get in touch with people who have same interest. You'll see yourself growing as a photographer. Participating in a challenge or contest will also give you a chance to see submissions from other photographers and take inspirations from them.
