How to download photos from Dropbox to iPad?

Last Updated :

Dropbox is a cloud storage service provided by Dropbox Inc. Dropbox offers 2 GB of free storage space to store photos, videos, files, and important documents. Dropbox allows users to create a special folder (Dropbox folder) on each of their computers for storing their files, photos & videos.

Here are the steps to download photos from Dropbox to iPad:
  1. Go to https://www.dropbox.com/ & sign in to your account.
  2. If you have Dropbox app installed on your iPad, launch it. Or else download it from the App store.
  3. Click "Data Settings" on iPad, select "Dropbox" option.
  4. A pop-up window opens up. You will see a "Public" icon on the menu bar. The "Public" folder contains all your stored photos & videos.
  5. Select photos (which you wish to download) from "Public" folder. You will see a star (*) icon located at upper right corner of the window. Click "*".
  6. Click "Download" button located at upper right corner of the window.
  7. Click "Save to Photo Library" option. 8. The photos will be stored in your iPad's gallery.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
