How to change the order of photos on Flickr?

Last Updated :

To rearrange your Flickr photos you can organize them as a set or edit the date posted to display your photos in the order you want. Flickr allows you to group your photos and then position the image thumbnails in a set to help you communicate your visual message.

Arranging the Flickr photo sets:
  1. Click "You" on the Organizr to bring up your photos, click "Sets" and then click "Create Your First Set Now" or "Add New Set."
  2. Drag the photos from the bottom strip up to the set in the main pane. Click and drag the thumbnails to rearrange the order.
  3. Click inside the "New Set" box in the sidebar and enter a new name for this set. Click "Save." The labeled set includes a cover photo.
  4. Click "Your Photostream" and then click "Sets." Click the set of photos to view the arrangement. If you want to rearrange further, click "Edit" to display the thumbnails and then click and drag the thumbnails to update the order. Click "Save".

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
