How to Backup your WhatsApp Photos to Google Drive?

WhatsApp for Android allows you to backup photos, videos, chats and voice messages to Google Drive. It recommends you to connect your phone to Wi-Fi prior to backup your photos and videos to Google Drive. Because backup photos may vary in size and consume mobile data and cause extra charges. You can also restore your photos and videos from Google Drive backup.

Following are the steps to Manually Backup your Photos to Google Drive:

  1. Open "WhatsApp" on your Android phone.
  2. Go to "Menu" button.
  3. Select "Settings" option.
  4. Tap "Chats and Calls" option.
  5. Tap "Chat Backup" option.
  6. Tap "Back up to Google Drive" button.
  7. Select a backup frequency other than "Never".
  8. Tap "Back up" to begin your Google Drive backup.
