Last Updated :Photo stream is an extremely useful feature that allows you to sync photos across your iOS devices. When you have more than one iOS devices, Photo Stream helps you to backup photos from iPhone to iPad, quickly. By default, photo streams are enabled when you setup your iPhone. That means every photo you click will be uploaded to your stream when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network. Follow the process below to backup new photos from iPhone to iPad using photos stream:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone. The Photo Stream is a feature that uploads your newly-taken photos to iCloud so that they can be accessed from all of your connected iOS and OS X devices. Photos are uploaded once the iPhone is connected to a wireless network.
- This requires iOS 5.1 or later for both the iPhone and the iPad. - Select "iCloud" from the menu. Photo Stream uses your iCloud account to upload the photos, but they don't count against your iCloud storage limit.
- Sign in with your Apple ID if you aren't already. Photo Stream requires iCloud, which is accessed through your Apple ID. Click here for instructions on creating an Apple ID if you don't have one.
- Tap the "Photos" option. This will load the settings menu for your iCloud photos.
- Toggle "Upload to My Photo Stream" ON. This will send newly-taken pictures to your Photo Stream when your iPhone is connected to a wireless network.
- This will only add pictures you take after enabling the feature to your Photo Stream. If you need to share existing photos, see one of the following sections. - Open the Photos app on your iPad. After the photos from your iPhone have uploaded to iCloud, they will be available on all of your connected devices.
- Make sure that you are signed in with the same Apple ID on your iPad. - View your Photo Stream photos. The process for accessing these photos depends on the version of iOS that your iPad uses:
- iOS 8 - Tap "Albums" at the bottom of the screen and select "Recently Added".
- iOS 7 and older - Tap "Photo Stream" at the bottom of the screen and select "My Photo Stream". - Save the photo to your iPad. Photo Stream stores your photos for thirty days, after which they are erased from iCloud. If you want to keep a photo from the Photo Stream on your iPad, you'll need to save it to your iPad's storage.
- Open the photo from the Photo Stream that you want to save.
- Tap the "Share" button. This looks like a box with an arrow coming out of the top.
- Select "Save Image" or "Save to Camera Roll".

PicBackMan was an answer to many a prayer. How can I get this MASSIVE collection of photos onto a service that cripples uploading? PicBackMan.
