How to Backup iPhotos to DVD?

Loading your precious Photos in your Mac does not guarantee you they would be safe. In case you loose your Mac or it is damaged, you might loose your Photos. The best way is to Backup your iPhotos. There several ways to Backup your Photos, but the best way to Backup your iPhotos is to backup to a DVD.
Follow the step by step guide to learn how to Backup iPhotos to DVD:

  1. Go to your home folder and to ‘Pictures’ folder.
  2. Since the ‘Library’ file is treated as an individual folder, drag and drop it to the DVD. The Photos in folder would be duplicated one by one.
  3. You can also drag and drop single Photos into a new folder. View the folder to know the Photos have been copied and then copy the folder to the DVD.
  4. To export your Photos, you can ‘Ctrl > Select Photos’ and choose ‘File > Export’. Select the ‘Original’ Photos in the ‘Export’ window. Choose ‘Export’ and a Destination (ie. DVD).
  5. Now that you have Dragged, Copied or Exported your Photos to the DVD, select pictures and choose ‘Share > Burn’ to Burn the DVD. This creates a picture disc that is compatible with iPhoto. Your Photos are backed to a DVD!
