OneDrive or SkyDrive is photo and video hosting service. It allows you to upload and sync photos and videos to a cloud storage to access them from any local device or web browser. OneDrive allows you to play .mp4, .mov and .m4v video file formats directly from the OneDrive website in most of the web browsers. It doesn't allow you to play DRM-protected video files. If you have videos in a different file format which is not supported by OneDrive, then you can still upload them to OneDrive, but they might not play directly in a browser. To view those videos on a device, you will need to download them first on your computer.
You can install PicBackMan's SkyDrive uploader for Mac from the website and start backing up photos and videos.
