How to Automatically Backup Photos to Google?

You can automatically back up your photos and videos to Google by simply turning on the Auto Backup feature on your phone. This may include pictures that you click with your device’s camera, download photos (on your phone), and photos saved by other apps.

Automatically Backup Photos to Google on Android Phone

  1. Open the Photos app .
  2. Touch the menu button or icon  and select Settings.
  3. Touch Auto Backup and switch the toggle On or Off.

  1. Open the Google+ app  and touch the menu icon .
  2. Touch the gear icon   at the top right > Camera and Photos.
  3. Touch Auto Backup.
  4. Switch the Auto Backup setting on if it is off.
If you are prompted with a message that asks you to "Turn on access to photos....."That means you need to allow the Google+ app to access your photos.
  1. Open your device's settings > touch Privacy > Photos.
  2. Switch Google+ on.
