How Google Drive works with Google Photos?

Google Drive is a cloud storage service provided by Google Inc. Google Photos is also a photo and video sharing and storage service by Google. It is useful to backup photos safely, organize and label automatically. Google Photos is the home for all your photos and videos. You can create a Google Photos folder in your 'My Drive' to organize photos and videos into folders. The photos and videos which you can see in both Google Drive and Google Photos only count once in your 'Google storage space. You can view your Google Drive photos and videos in Google Photos, view your Google Photos library in Google Drive, organize photos and videos into Google Drive folders and take action on your photos and videos in Drive.

View Google Drive Photos and Videos in Google Photos:
Google Photos allows you to create collages and GIFs, edit photos, make movies and share them with family and friends. You can view just Google Drive photos and videos using the Google Photos app. If you want to view Google Drive photos and videos in Google Photos using Android or iOS app, then open 'Google Photos' app and tap 'Menu' icon and then tap 'Photos' tab. Google Photos library includes the photos and videos which you have been backed up or uploaded using Google Photos and Google+. Google Drive allows you to move your photos and videos from Google Photos library into folders. But the folder name and organization that you create in Google Drive will not be reflected in Google Photos. To view your Google Photos library in Google Drive using Android and iOS, open 'Google Drive' app and tap 'menu' icon located at the top left corner on the screen and then tap 'Google Photos'.

Organize Photos and Videos into Google Drive folders:
Google Drive allows you to copy, move and edit photos, the changes you made will not be reflected in Google Photos. If you delete individual photos and videos from Google Drive, then they are also deleted from Google Photos. If you delete individual photos and videos from Google Photos, then they are also deleted from Google Drive. If you share your Google Photos folder in Google Drive, then the people you shared with can see any new photos and videos that are added to the folder.

Take Action on Your Photos And Videos in Google Drive:
You can take several actions on the photos and videos from 'Google Photos section in Google Drive. You can choose actions on photos and videos from Android app, iOS app, mobile browser and computer. You can choose to share the photos and videos with others, share link i.e send a link to the file, mark them as important, move them into a folder, send the photo and video from another application, download them onto your device, change the name of the photo or video, remove the photo or video from Google Drive and Google Photos, and much more.
