How to Sync Images from Computer or iPhoto Using iCloud Photo Sharing?

Last Updated :

iPhoto may not support iCloud Photo Library. But it supports some of iCloud's older image sharing features like 'iCloud Photo Stream'. It helps you to get photos from iPhoto onto your iOS devices. Select the photos which you want and then create a new iCloud Photo Stream. To create a new iCloud Photo Stream, select the photos and click "Add to" button located at the bottom right corner on the screen and select "iCloud" or click "Share" button and select "iCloud". Name your stream and share it with your own Apple ID. You will see your shared stream on your iOS devices under the 'Shared' tab in the 'Photos' app. If you have an internet connection, you can view and download your stream to your device. To download photos from stream to your device, select the photos and tap "Share" button and then tap "Save Image" option.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
