How to Share a Picasa Photo with others via Email?

Last Updated :

Picasa allows you to share an individual photo with others via email. It has 'Share via Email' feature which allows you to share a single photo with others via email. You can not share an entire album using this feature. You need to open an album and then select an individual photo and then click "Share' button. You have option to get a copy of that email. To do so, you have to check mark the 'Send me a copy of this email' option that you will get while sharing the photo.

Following are the steps to Share a Picasa Photo with others via Email:

  1. Go to https://picasaweb.google.com/ & sign in to your account.
  2. Click "My Photos" tab.
  3. Click on the album to open it.
  4. Browse and open the photo in full size.
  5. Click "Share" tab located at the top of the photo.
  6. A "Share Photo" window opens up.
  7. Enter email addresses of the people and message to share a photo.
  8. Click "Share via Email" button.
  9. Your photo will now be shared with others via email.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
