How to Move Photos and Videos from Picasa Web to Amazon S3?

If you want to move photos and videos from Picasa Web to Amazon S3, you need to download your photos and videos to computer and then upload them to Amazon S3 by using "S3 Browser". Picasa Web allows you to download all your photos and videos at a time by creating an archive. To create an archive, sign in to your Picasa Web account and click your account name and then click "Account" tab. You will see "Data tools", click on it and then click on "Select data to download" button. Now click "Create archive" button to configure your data archive and then click "Select All" and "Create Archive" button.

Following are the steps to Move Photos and Videos from Picasa Web to Amazon S3:

  1. Go to https://picasaweb.google.com/ & sign in to your account.
  2. Click your account name and then click "Account" located at right corner of the window.
  3. Click "Data tools".
  4. Click "Select data to download".
  5. Click "Create archive" button to configure your data archive.
  6. Click "Select all".
  7. Click "Create archive" button.
  8. You will see a message "We're preparing your archive & We will email you when the archive is ready to download".
  9. Click "Download" button.
  10. You will see an option to download archived file and when you will open it, you will see all original photos and videos inside it.
  11. Download and Install "S3 Browser" on your computer.
  12. Start "S3 Browser" on your computer.
  13. Click "Accounts" tab.
  14. Select "Add new account" option.
  15. Enter Account name, Access Key ID, Secret Access key and click "Add New account" button.
  16. Click "Files" tab.
  17. Select "Upload File" or "Upload Folder" option.
  18. A "Browse for folder" window opens up.
  19. Select photos and videos that you have downloaded from Picasa Web.
  20. Click "Ok" button.
