How to Delete Videos from Google Auto Backup?

Last Updated :

If you do not wish to store certain videos on your Google cloud anymore, you would end up deleting them. If you delete the videos with an intention to free up some space, you would find that the expected amount of space is not freed up. This happens because the videos you delete remain in small size in your ‘Trash’.
Follow the steps to Delete Photos from Google Auto Backup:

  1. Go to google.com and sign in.
  2. Tap ‘More’ on the top of the page and then click ‘Photos’.
  3. On the top right corner, select the menu icon with three dots. Now hit ‘Select’.
  4. Select the videos to be permanently deleted.
  5. Tap the ‘Trash Can’ on the right top corner of the screen, and tap ‘Remove’.
  6. The items would be moved to ‘Trash’ and permanently be deleted after 60 days.
  7. To permanently delete the videos from Trash too, tap the three lines on the left top corner and go to ‘Trash icon > Empty Trash > Delete’.
Your videos would be permanently deleted from the Google Auto Backup.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
