How to Batch Export Original Photo in iPhoto?

Last Updated :

You can easily export original photos in batch from iPhoto. To do so, go to "Finder and locate "iPhoto Library". Right-click on the iPhoto Library and select "Show Package Contents" option. Once done this, click "Originals" and then you can select the year, event and the photos located in that. Now copy the photo files out, do not move them out. This way you can batch export original photo in iPhoto.

While exporting a photo from iPhoto in the "File Export" tab, you have a number of options such as Original, Current, Jpeg, Tiff and PNG. If you choose "Original", then the file will export exactly as it is. It is the file that you imported from your camera, no changes or edits, no added faces, places etc. If you want to export a RAW or a movie, then you can use this option.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
