How to Backup Photos from iPhone to iTunes?

If you are looking to backup photos from iPhone to iTunes, you need to update your iTunes to its latest version. iTunes would use your Mac or PC storage for your iPhone photo backup. You can backup your iPhone photos with either wired or wireless transfer. Follow the step by step process given below to backup your iPhone photos to iTunes.
For Wired Backup:
  1. Make sure your iTunes is updated to the latest version.
  2. Connect your iPhone with a connecting cable to the Computer. Launch iTunes.
  3. You need to ‘Turn OFF’ iCloud because you cannot create backups using iTunes when iCloud is ‘ON’. To turn off your iCloud, go to ‘Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup’  and ‘Turn OFF’ the iCloud Backup toggle.
  4. In your iTunes, on the left hand panel, you can see your iPhone under ‘Devices’. Right click on it and select ‘Backup’.
  5. Your photos (and videos) would be backed up. The location of your backed Photos is “Users(username)AppDataRoamingApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup”.
For Wireless Backup:
  1. Make sure your iTunes is updated to the latest version. Also check whether iCloud is Turned OFF. To turn off your iCloud, go to ‘Settings > iCloud > Storage & Backup’  and ‘Turn OFF’ the iCloud Backup toggle.
  2. Then go to ‘Settings > General > iTunes WiFi Sync’ and select your Computer from the list. You would see an option ‘Sync Now’. But by default, iPhone will automatically sync when,
    i. The device is connected to WiFi,
    ii. The screen is locked,
    iii. The device is plugged to a power source.
  3. Your photos (and videos) would be backed up. The location of your backed Photos is “Users(username)AppDataRoamingApple ComputerMobileSyncBackup”.
