How to Backup Photos from Apple Photos App to Google Drive on Mac?

Apple Photos app is a photo editing service which allows you to backup photos and videos, share them with other people in the World via Mail, Messages or iCloud Photo Sharing. You can also backup photos and videos to Google Drive. To do so, you need to download and install Google Drive Desktop application on your Mac.

Following are the steps to Backup Photos from Apple Photos App to Google Drive on Mac:

  1. Download and install "Google Drive Desktop Application" on your Mac.
  2. Open "Photos" app on your Mac.
  3. Select the photos which you want to backup.
  4. Click "File" menu.
  5. Select "Export" option.
  6. You will see two options i.e. "Export Photo" and "Export Unmodified Original".
  7. A pop-up window opens up.
  8. Select file format in photo kind i.e JPEG, TIFF, PNG.
  9. Enter the file name and sub-folder format.
  10. Click "Export" button.
  11. Choose destination folder i.e. Google Drive.
  12. Click "Export" button.
  13. This way you can backup photos from Apple Photos app to Google Drive on Mac.
