How to access your iCloud photos on other devices?

Last Updated :

After your photos are uploaded, you can access them on any of your iCloud-connected devices. Here's how:
  • On iOS - Open the Photos app. If you have the iCloud Photo Library, all of your photos will appear in the All Photos section. There is no distinction made between photos from different devices. If you have Photo Stream turned on, the Photo Stream section will appear in the Photos app. You can then save the photos from this stream to your device's camera roll.
  • On Mac - Open the Photos app from your Applications folder and connect to iCloud if prompted. You'll be able to see all of the photos from your iCloud Photo Library or your Photo Stream. Photos added to the Photos app will be uploaded to your photo library or photo stream.
  • On Windows PC - Open the iCloud Photos folder in the left menu of your Explorer window. You'll see folders for different albums, as well as a special "My Photo Stream" folder if it is enabled.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
