How to download SmugMug photos and videos to Computer?

Uploading photos and videos to SmugMug is really very easy as compared to the downloading process. The simple drag and drop is by far the easiest mechanism to upload a bunch of photos or videos to SmugMug. Whereas, their downloading mechanism is not that easy and simple. The album that you choose to download is downloaded in the form of a .zip file.

However, if you are looking for downloading SmugMug photos onto your Computer but not in the form of a .zip file, then PicBackMan is here to help you. PicBackMan will download your entire photo collection and will store them on your computer’s hard disc in the forms of folders. The folder name will be similar to your album names. For example, if you have an album named Christmas 2012, You’ll find a folder with the same name on your Hard disc.

PicBackMan does exactly what it's supposed to. It's quick and efficient. It runs unobtrusively in the background and has done an excellent job of uploading more than 300GB of photos to 2 different services. After having lost a lot of personal memories to a hard drive crash, it's nice to know that my photos are safe in 2 different places.

LOVE this program! Works better than ANY other program out there that I have found to upload thousands of pictures WITH SUB-FOLDERS to SmugMug! Thank you so much for what you do! :) #happycustomer

I pointed PicBackMan at a directory structure, and next time I looked - all the photos had uploaded! Pretty cool. I use SmugMug and while I really like it, the process of creating directories in is pretty laborious when you need to make 80+ at a time. This was a breeze. Thank you!
